Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for or using the TaxoAI API ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. Service Description
TaxoAI provides an AI-powered REST API for e-commerce product categorization, attribute extraction, and SEO content generation. The Service classifies products into the Google Shopping taxonomy and generates optimized product metadata.
3. API Keys & Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys. Do not share them publicly, commit them to source code repositories, or expose them in client-side code. TaxoAI is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from compromised API keys. You must revoke and regenerate keys immediately if you suspect they've been compromised.
4. Usage Limits & Fair Use
Each plan has defined rate limits (requests per minute, per day) and monthly product quotas. Exceeding these limits will result in HTTP 429 responses. Automated attempts to circumvent rate limits, create multiple free accounts, or abuse the Service may result in account suspension. We reserve the right to throttle or block abusive usage.
5. Billing & Refunds
Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time — changes take effect immediately. We offer a 14-day refund policy for first-time paid plan subscribers. Refunds are not available after the 14-day window or for subsequent billing periods.
6. Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of all product data you send to the API and all results generated. TaxoAI does not claim any rights over your data. We process your data solely to provide the Service and do not use it for any other purpose, including AI model training.
7. Service Availability
We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability except under SLA-covered Agency plans. Scheduled maintenance will be announced via email at least 48 hours in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party services (OpenAI, cloud providers) or force majeure events.
8. Limitation of Liability
TaxoAI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to: process illegal content, attempt to reverse-engineer our AI models, resell API access without authorization, send malicious payloads, or use the Service in a way that damages TaxoAI's reputation or infrastructure.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. You can delete your account via the API or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.
